In short. For us, quality is a method, safety is a condition of doing the work, and compliance is something you prove with evidence. On every generator job we identify the equipment and requirement, verify the technical information, carry out the agreed scope, test the functions we were asked to deliver and document both the result and its limits. We do not turn good intentions into certification claims, and statutory decisions stay with the applicable rules and the competent authority.
Quality as a five-step method
Since 2002, our work from Tarnaka in Secunderabad has covered generator sales, rental, installation, service, AMC and spare parts across Hyderabad, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Over that time we have found that the jobs which go wrong rarely go wrong because of a lack of skill. They go wrong because a step was skipped: the wrong model was assumed, a figure was not checked, the scope was unclear, the test was left out, or nothing was written down. Our quality method is simply those five steps done in order, every time.

The fifth step is the one most often skipped in our industry, and it is the one that protects the customer when a question is asked a year later. A preventive maintenance visit should produce a record, not only a verbal update. That record creates an auditable maintenance history for the set and gives both the customer and the service provider something to stand on.
Safety is set by the actual work and site
Generator work combines several hazards in a small space. A single service visit can involve high electrical energy at 415 V, rotating fans and belts, hot exhaust and turbocharger surfaces, diesel fuel, lead-acid batteries that release hydrogen while charging, lifting of heavy components, confined access in acoustic enclosures, noise and stored energy in springs, capacitors and pressurised coolant.
How we control it
- Isolation and lock-out of the set and its mains connection before work inside panels or on the engine, with the controller placed in a mode that prevents automatic start.
- Coolant caps opened only when the engine has cooled, because a hot pressurised system can scald.
- Battery work with eye protection and no ignition sources, and charger switched off before disconnecting leads.
- Lifting plans for alternator, radiator and engine component removal, with rated tackle.
- Hearing protection for any work near a running set.
Site conditions add hazards of their own. After heavy monsoon rain we check for water in the fuel tank, flooded cable trenches and blocked air paths before running a set. Rooftop and basement installations change access and escape routes. Website guidance is never a substitute for a site-specific risk assessment or an authorised work procedure, and our technicians will stop work where the site cannot be made safe.
Compliance needs four answers
A compliance statement is only meaningful when it answers four questions. What is compliant: which equipment, document or activity. Against what: which applicable requirement, such as CPCB IV+ emission norms, CEA safety regulations, the relevant IS or IEC standard, or local fire requirements. For which configuration: is the claim model-specific or project-specific. Supported by what: a certificate, a manufacturer document, a test record or an approved design.
A new diesel genset up to 800 kW sold in India must carry CPCB IV+ type approval for the engine and set combination; that approval belongs to the manufacturer and the specific model, not to the dealer or installer. An installation must meet CEA regulations for earthing, clearances and protection; that is shown by the installation design, the inspection and, where applicable, the approval of the electrical inspectorate. A service visit can support compliance by keeping the set in its approved condition, but it does not create compliance on its own. What we will not do
- We will not publish a corporate certification unless it exists, is valid, belongs to the entity named and is described with its true scope.
- We describe our supply tie-ups accurately and never overstate a relationship with a manufacturer.
- We will not state that a set is ready for standby duty on the strength of a no-load start.
- We will not bypass a protection, interlock or emission control to make a fault disappear.
- We will not promise outcomes, such as guaranteed uptime, that depend on factors outside the written scope.
Where final decisions sit
For safety-critical or regulated systems, such as hospital emergency power, fire pump supplies, data centre standby plant or installations needing inspectorate approval, final decisions remain with the applicable statutory requirements, the current manufacturer instructions, the approved project engineering and competent professional review. Common mistakes
- Accepting a supplier’s certification logo without asking for the certificate, its validity dates and its scope, which can leave a tender or audit resting on a credential that does not apply.
- Treating a service visit as proof of compliance, which overlooks the installation, approval and documentation that compliance actually requires.
- Allowing work inside an AMF panel without isolating the mains sensing and disabling auto start, which exposes the technician to live 415 V and an unexpected start.
- Restarting a set after a high temperature shutdown by simply topping up coolant, which can crack a head or hide a blocked radiator.
What to send us
If you need evidence for an audit, inspection or tender, tell us the requirement you must satisfy, send photographs of the set and panel nameplates, and share any existing service, test or commissioning records with their dates. If the question is about a site hazard or a regulated installation, include site photographs and the single-line diagram. Questions engineers ask
Are your generators CPCB IV+ compliant?
New diesel gensets up to 800 kW that we supply for use in India must carry CPCB IV+ type approval issued for that engine and set model. The approval belongs to the manufacturer and model, and we provide the approval reference with the equipment documents so you can verify it.
Do you hold quality or safety certifications?
We publish a certification only when it exists, is current and applies to our entity, with its scope stated. Ask us for any certificate you need for a vendor registration and we will either provide it or tell you plainly that it is not held.
What does your service report include?
It records the equipment identity, hours run, the work done, readings taken, parts fitted, faults found, items not checked and recommendations. Where a test was carried out, it records the load, duration and observed voltage, frequency and temperatures.
Who is responsible for statutory approval of a generator installation?
The owner of the installation, supported by the designer and installing contractor, obtains the approvals the site needs from the relevant authorities. We provide equipment documents, installation records and test evidence to support the application.
